With AI I was able to answer requests that would once have needed an outside developer: web pages, forms, databases, presentations.

These are the three projects I have worked on so far.

A test with anonymous data

A client needed an online test for a tour of events: a page that would collect data for research in a completely anonymous way and, in a separate database, the emails of people who wanted to receive a thank-you message after the event.

We built the test together, Claude Code and I, starting from the questions supplied by the client. The real work was fitting it into the company’s official website, which runs on WordPress: I created a page with Elementor and loaded the HTML code into it, which called two Forminator forms, one for the answers and one for the emails. That way the two databases stayed separate and the answers could not be traced back to the person.

Before starting, participants could read the privacy notice, linked to the form and approved by the client’s lawyer as well, which explained what the data was for: research on one side, sending the thank-you on the other.

After the tour, the data was aggregated with a local tool built with Claude, which never saw the original data, so as to prepare a report that combined the experience on the ground (that of the colleague who followed every stop, the hostesses and the participants) with the analysis of the data. The thank-you email, sent with Brevo, was also written with the help of AI.

A landing page for sign-ups

For another client I had to collect sign-ups for internal events, with more information than usual: besides name and surname, also allergies, where people were coming from and other details useful for organising the event. I built a landing page with a form that gathered everything in one place.

This page, too, had a privacy notice to link to the form: so it was not just a job of building and collecting, but also a chance to understand better how data is handled.

A new company profile

The last project is for my colleagues, and the approach was different. I started from the company’s social graphics, recently redone to give them a more modern look, and gave them to Claude Design to create a design system. From there I asked for a generic presentation, without the content of the various departments, just to see whether the approach worked. When the general elements felt right, I used the design system to build the real presentation, which I then reviewed and fixed by hand, gathering my colleagues’ feedback.

It is still a work in progress: the idea is to turn it into a template, so that colleagues can work on it independently.

What I learned

Working on such different projects I learned to use Claude Design better and better and, with the company profile, to understand what I can delegate to AI and what I had better do myself: the final touches, for example, are all mine.

I also learned to move with more confidence around GDPR and privacy notices, to make sure the tools I build always respect the rules.

Web pages, tests and presentations built with AI to help colleagues and answer clients’ requests: from anonymous data collection to event sign-ups, to the new company profile.

[21
29
post-556","lab_project","type-lab_project","status-publish","hentry","project_status-ongoing","project_type-web
["GET
